Pouya Zafarnia, DDS
Dr. Pouya Zafarnia completed his undergraduate studies in biology before attending dental school, beginning his dental education at the Azad School of Dentistry in Tehran, Iran, from which he graduated in 2015. He continued his studies at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC, completing the Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists in 2021. Dr. Zafarnia is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of care, and regularly completes continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of the dental field. His advanced training and education includes:
- A Preceptorship Certificate from Boston University
- A former researcher on dental materials at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received an award for his research
- A certificate in the Art of Minimally Invasive Endodontics
- A certificate in Advanced Implant Education, where he gained hands-on experience working with patients in need of dental implants and performing implant placements
Additionally, Dr. Zafarnia is a former adjunct faculty member at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry. He has also published several articles on dental materials.
Dr. Zafarnia is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association® and the American Academy of Endodontics.
